The Bad Guys storyline

A top team of criminal animals faces their greatest challenge yet: becoming good citizens. The infamous Foul Boys team consists of five friends: charming pickpocket Mr. Wolf, seasoned safecracker Mr. Snake, cool master of disguises Mr. Shark, powerhouse with a short fuse Mr. Piranha and the sharp experienced hacker Ms. Tarantula, aka „Webs”. After years of committing countless robberies, the most wanted criminals are finally caught. Mr. Wolf makes a deal to prevent them from going to jail: the Wrong Boys get good. Accompanied by their mentor Professor Marmalade, an arrogant (but cute!) guinea pig, the Wrong Boys try to make everyone believe that they have changed. But in the meantime, Mr. Wolf finds out that doing good gets him the acceptance he’s always wanted. Then, when a new villain makes the town unsafe, Mr. Wolf must convince the rest to become the „Good Boys.

• After Trolle 2 (2020), which came out two years earlier, this is the second DreamWorks Animation movie starring Sam Rockwell and Anthony Ramos.
• There is a character named Diane Foxington in the „Bad Guys” books, but she goes by Ellen Fox there.
• Wolf sarcastically queries Snake on his ability to see colors and sounds. The brain can overlap senses and their sensations in many ways, including hearing colors and seeing sounds, which is a condition known as synesthesia.
• Shrek 4 (2010) was the second DreamWorks Animation movie directed by Craig Robinson.
